India’s Chief of Defence staff General Anil Chauhan was addressing a meeting first of it’s kind during RAN SAMWAD 2025 (Tri-service seminar) on the topic ” Impact of technology on Warfare” .
He said, in future war will not be confined to the border only, to the defence personal/ defence installation/ strategic infrastructure like road ,bridge ,dam,grid only, but much more broader n devastating if it will not tackle timely n appropriately.
We have seen during “operation SINDOOR “cheap drone attack, Cyber attack, misinformation n propaganda Warfare, use of civilian aircraft in order to confuse enemy ,nuclear threat, spreading misinformation to create religious unrest/regional unrest within the country.
Dependency on foreign country for critical technologies, components, aircrafts, engines missiles, drones along with social media apps, mobiles ,internet can control the result of war.
Therefore ,CDS Anil Chauhan emphasized ” Aatmanirbharta, integrated logistics, Sudarshan Chakra( India’s iron dome) and adaptation of AI, Cyber & quantum ,with joint traing as the foundation to build Sashakt, Surakshit ,Aatmanirbhar and Vikshit Bharat.
