Typhoon Yagi at its  peak over south china sea 5 sep.

Typhoon Yagi formed as a tropical storm on 01 sep 2024 western of Phillipine sea. It moves westward and crossed south China sea with speed of 125 miles per hour and made landfall in Vietnam on 09 sep as a super typhoon, the strongest to hit the nation in decades and Asia most powerful storm this year till now.

In Vietnam, over 240000 houses damaged, more than 300 people died with 100 more missing due to high speed wind, flood n landslide.

Further Typhoon move westward causing heavy rainfall n landslide in Laos, Thailand and Myanmar causing casualties at least 950 deaths, 2000 injuries and 1500 people

missing.

45 tons of relief materials is being loaded on C- 17 globemaster of IAF.

Demonstrating solidarity with the people affected by Typhoon Yagi, India launches #Operation Sadbhav for dispatching aids and relief materials to Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar.

India send 45 tons of aid comprising water purification items, water containrs, blankets, kitchen utensils and solar lanterns  for the people of Vietnam and Laos by C-17 globemaster aircraft of Indian Air Force.

10 tons of aid is being loaded on INS Satpura .

Whereas India sended 10 tons of aid including dry rations , clothing and medicine for the people of Myanmar through Indian Naval Ship Satpura. And more consignment will be send as the requirements received by the affected countries.

India has also been shown solidarity during  Turkey earthquake on 21 Feb 2023 by sending 1 battalion of NDRF team ,100 person of Army Medical Corps and relief materials including tents, blankets, medicine etc.
