Greece PM recently visit to India solidified bilateral ties,highlights shared goals of peace,security and climate action

Last week Greece PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited India and meet with PM of India shree Narerendra Modi to solidified bilateral ties as well to highlight shared goals of peace, security and climate action. First in last 15 years,any Greece PM visited to the India after visiting of Indian PM to Greece in August 23, where both the country signed the strategic partnership.

The meeting was focus on enhancing and increasing all elements of strategic partnership wether it is political domain, security aspects, economic relationships and also the cultural ties.Also discussed regional and global issues of common concern including ongoing development in Europe.

Bilateral ties:-

Both the leader agreed to double the bilateral trade upto 2030 in area of – 1.Space and pharmaceutical,2.Infrastructure development of ports, 3.Cooperation in shipping space ,4.Chemical industries,5.Digital sector, 6.Agricultural and tourism, 7.Food and communication sectors as well 8.Defence cooperation.

Cultural cooperation:-

Both the country is the ancient civilization of the world with Mesopotamia civilization of Greece and Harrapan civilization of india and cooperation since 2500yrs back.Both the leader agreed on enhancing cross -cultural collaboration, protection and preservation of cultural heritage and also enhancing cooperation in academic institutions between the two countries.

Security partnership:-

reinforce their commitments to partnership in Mediterranean sea and also in Indo-Pacific region. Also talked about common concern with regard to terrorism and condemn all form of terrorism.

Climate action:-

Greece PM highlights India leadership for International Solar Alliance.PM Modi also talk about situation in Syria arising with his Greece counterpart as well coalition on disaster relief.
